Episode 1: Newly Weds Two Year Anniversary
It's the night before their two year anniversary, and Nick and Jessica are in a limo on their way home, discussing presents. Nick says that Jessica is hard to buy for and complains that she never wears the jewelry he gets her for more than a few months. Jessica insists that he's wrong.

The next day, the anniversary celebration begins when a delivery man drops off some large boxes for Nick. Jessica tells him that this is part one of his present from her, and when Nick opens the packages he finds stylish new wheels for his truck. That night, Jessica makes a point of showing Nick that she is wearing the bracelet he got her for Christmas.

After dinner that night, Nick presents Jessica with a handwritten card. This gesture proves to be anticlimactic because Jessica can't read his writing and asks him to read it to her later. She then gives Nick a pair of diamond earrings and receives a "chunky" diamond bracelet from him. She is blown away and Nick comments that they are such a "nouveau riche" couple.

For the remainder of their anniversary weekend, Nick has planned a trip to Napa Valley. They leave the next day with their dog and embark on a helicopter ride to their hotel. The first stop is a winery where they are able to taste a variety of different wines. At lunch, their hostess takes them outside with a bottle of wine, which she breaks open with a huge knife--a ritual act of celebration. The couple is impressed but a little freaked out. Nick comments that he's never seen such a big knife before. During their meal Jessica asks a thought-provoking question: How did they make wine back in Jesus' day? Nick can only laugh at her.

Next they learn how to make wine for themselves. They go into the field to pick grapes and Nick decides to be the first one to stomp them. Jessica is a little grossed out by the process, but she tries it anyway.

The last stop on their tour of Napa is a fancy meal that has been prepared especially for them. Before the food is even served, Jessica looks at the menu and doesn't like what she sees. She decides she isn't going to be adventurous in what she eats, and secretly gives all her food to Nick once the waitress is gone. She gives dessert a try, but it turns out that even the ice cream tastes strange. Later the chef comes out to greet them and they both tell him the food was wonderful. "I feel so bad!" Jessica says.

With their anniversary festivities over, Jessica and Nick return to their hotel for one last treat. Nick surprises her with a piece of wedding cake and champagne. As they eat, Jessica comments that it's been a long two years. "It feels like we've been together forever," she says. And Nick agrees.

Episode 2: Jess gets a root canal
A toothache forces Jessica to face her fear of the dentist. She hates teeth and admits to rarely flossing. Her poor dental hygiene leaves her in need of a root canal. The dentist does some preliminary work. After the appointment, Jessica ignores the doctor's orders and heads straight for the sweets.

Jessica spends some time with her "bowl-legged" pup Daisy. "Your teeth look better than Mommy's," she says as she cuddles the dog.

Nick's family comes over to watch the USC football game. Jessica teases him about getting into the game. "You are the biggest dork. Look at him in his getup," she jokes.

Nick is offended and goes to watch the game in the theater room. Jessica asks what his problem is and offers to go into the theater room instead. "Go watch Lifetime," Nick tells her. The game is further interrupted as more guests arrive, with their kids in tow.

Later on, the couple discusses options for their Halloween costumes. Nick wants them to dress up as Kid Rock and Pamela Anderson. Jessica won't hear it. Instead they decide to stick with their original idea, the cast of Three's Company. While Jessica has her root canal, Nick decorates the house for Halloween. As neighbors watch, he tries to make the setup as scary as possible. Daisy is easily frightened by the noisy decorations.

At the dentist office, the root canal specialist goes out of his way to make Jessica feel comfortable. He uses a special method so she won't feel the needle. Afterwards, he tells her she would have lost the tooth if the cavity had been larger.

As Nick waits for Jessica to come home, trick-or-treaters begin to arrive. Nick hides behind the door and flicks the lights on and off. It doesn't take long for the kids to figure out what he's up to. Nick comes out with Daisy and talks with them. "Where's Jessica?" they ask. When Jessica does arrive, Nick scares her at the door too.

Nick accompanies Jessica to her root canal follow-up visit. "Let this be a lesson to you, you and your children one day," the dentist says. On the way out the door, Jessica sneaks a candy from the dish on the desk. Nick shows Jessica where he is missing tooth. Even after six years of dating, she had not known he had a gap. Nick tries to explain what happened, but Jessica is too busy on her Sidekick.

Episode 3: Training Daisy
It's all fun and games until someone poops on the carpet. After six months of living with the newlyweds, Daisy is as disobedient as ever. Jessica continues to feed her leftover scraps, leaving Nick to clean up the mess.

Nick and Jessica head out for a movie and food shopping. When they return, the pups are hungry. Jessica hands them scraps that have been in the refrigerator for a week. Nick warns her that it might make the dogs sick. Daisy won't even touch her regular dog food. "You two are little piglettes," Jessica teases. Nick notices Daisy is acting funny later that night. Sure enough, she went to the bathroom on the carpet again. Jessica says she doesn't understand why the dog is sick. She begs Nick not to spank or get mad at Daisy. Nick puts his foot down. It is time to get a trainer.

The trainers arrive to survey the damage. They want to know every detail about Daisy's routine and schedule. Daisy won't wear a collar or a leash. She also doesn't take vitamins or supplements. She has yet to be brushed or given a bath. "Anything she doesn't initially like, Jessica won't make her do," Nick confesses.

The trainers have their work cut out. They start with her eating habits. From there, they move to potty training. Nick's methods are "old school." Instead of bringing the dog back to the accident and making her smell it, the trainers suggest a time-out. Daisy is to be put in a cage set up by the accident and left there for ten minutes.

Nick and Jessica learn a variety of different tricks to teach the dog. Nick quickly grows frustrated with Daisy as he tells her to sit over and over again. "I can tell who has more patience here," the trainer says. Before she leaves, the trainer gives Daisy a series of homework assignments to be done that night.

Jessica tries to get Daisy to start her assignment, but she doesn't want to move. "She acts like any other kid," she says. Daisy is more interested in stealing the treat than learning. Nick watches the football game while Jessica gets to work. "Daddy doesn't care about homework," Jessica says. "But Momma does."

They take Daisy to her vet for a check-up. She is doing well two weeks after her surgery, but should not run or jump. She's also getting too big for her Louis Vuitton bag. "I feel like an abusive mother putting her in that one," Jessica says. Nick says he will take her to get a bigger bag. Jessica lights up at the prospect of going to the Louis Vuitton store. Although Nick believes the dog doesn't know the difference between a designer bag and a regular, they head over to the store. It doesn't take long for Jessica to snatch up the complete set - leash, collar and larger bag. "It's sad when the cheapest thing in the equation is the actual dog," Nick says.

Episode 4: The Dukes of Hazzard
What better way to kick off the holiday season than...work? As Christmas draws near, Jessica is off to Baton Rouge to begin filming for The Dukes of Hazzard, in which she plays Daisy Duke. Despite Nick's warning that it is well past time to leave for the airport, Jessica continues to rummage through her humongous closet. When she finally gets in the car she asks Nick to grab her perfume. Nick fails to locate it, and Jessica must head to the airport without it.

Jessica and Casey, along with Jessica's hairstylist and her trainer, move into a house the movie's production company has rented them. No sooner have they arrived than Daisy christens the house by pooping in one of the bedrooms. The girls get organized and stock up the fridge. They attempt to lug their suitcases upstairs and decide to ask Jessica's trainer, Mike, for some help.

Meanwhile, Nick is headed to the Big Apple to spend the holiday season with his family at the ultra-hip 60 Thompson hotel. Nick and his brother, Drew, inquire about having a live Christmas tree and are told that New York City's strict fire laws prohibit real trees. Although Nick tells the clerk they will settle for a plastic tree, he and Drew decide to sneak in a real one. The two head down the street to go tree shopping. Nick rejects the pricy Nova Scotian trees and garland in favor of a $175 tree from Tennessee with fresh, Brooklyn-made garland. The brothers successfully get the tree past the lobby, up the elevator and into the room. Drew teases Nick because he chose colored lights to decorate it with, and Nick defensively jokes that he was drunk when he was shopping for them.

While Nick gets busy trimming the tree, Jessica hits the gym to get in shape for her role as Daisy. She repeatedly complains to her trainer that she stinks but manages to get through the day's workout.

Nick's stepmom, father and younger brother, Isaac, come to New York. The family goes to FAO Schwartz, where Nick tells Isaac he can pick out whatever he wants for Christmas. A store representative gives them a tour and shows them some of their most expensive toys, including a $50,000 toy Ferrari and a $15,000 stuffed elephant. When Isaac can't decide what he wants, Nick tells Isaac to pick out a gift later and send him the bill. That night the family has a champagne toast, with Isaac drinking sparkling cran-apple cider.

The next day, Nick and Drew both tell each other that their gifts have been ordered and should be arriving soon. There is a knock on the hotel room door and Drew tells Nick to open it. Nick opens the door and finds Jessica standing there. She tells him she unexpectedly got two days off from filming. This calls for another toast. When Nick catches Jessica taking a sip before the speech, she spits it back into her champagne flute.

Episode 5: New Year's Eve
With New Year's Eve right around the corner, Jessica comes home from filming in Louisiana to ring in 2005 with Nick and some good friends. They decide to jet to Miami, but before they do, Nick asks Jessica if she wants to go out to eat. Jessica replies that not only does she want to go out to eat, she wants to go on a date. At the restaurant Jessica orders chicken with macaroni and cheese, a special treat for her since she has been on a strict diet for the past few months.

After the meal Jessica complains that she is stuffed but says that the macaroni and cheese was amazing. Back home, the two go online in search of a place to stay in Miami. Jessica leaves the decision to Nick, and he picks a seven-bedroom house. Surely that will be enough room for all the friends they have coming.

Jessica begins to feel to sick to her stomach from the macaroni and cheese. She huddles on the floor in pain and says that she feels "pregnant with air." She asks Nick to rub her belly and he refuses, joking that Daisy can lie on top of it instead. Jessica heads to the bathroom and Nick tells her to take a book to read while on the toilet.

When the couple hits Miami their New Year's plans hit a few snags. Not only is a tropical storm brewing, when they are given a tour of the house it comes to their attention that only six bedrooms are ready to stay in. To make matters worse, the hot tub is broken.

Everyone shakes off this bad start and focuses on having fun. As they lounge outside and sunbathe, Casey nervously points out a small round mark on her skin: could it be ringworm? A quick Internet consultation by Nick yields the answer: maybe.

During a heated argument over games, it is revealed that Jessica believes African to be a language. Later, Jessica and the girls shop and are mobbed by fans who follow them in and out of stores. Jessica buys Nick a shirt to wear that night but he ends up going with a shirt he's borrowed from a friend instead.

A private chef prepares a dinner of comfort foods like steak for the group. Even Daisy the puppy gets some. They discuss their resolutions and Jessica says she does not have one, because she would only break it if she did. Nick vows to have a less stressful year and notes that this was also his resolution last year. At midnight the group toasts to a happy 2005 and Jessica pops open a fresh bottle of champagne.
