Episode 1:
Nick and Jessica are back again for another year of wedded bliss, quirky comments and Nick’s romantic endeavors. Season two of Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica starts out with a slight glitch in their one-year anniversary plans. Jessica pouts as she tells her hubby that they will be in Atlantic City, NJ for one of her performances on the very day that marks one year of commitment.

Although Nick seems a bit disappointed with the change in anniversary plans, he only has one complaint with the marriage thus far, “Not enough sex,” he says jokingly as Jessica sits by his side.

When the couple arrives at the Trump Taj Mahal, they are greeted by a lavishly decorated suite. Being the jokester that he is, Nick serenades Jessica while clowning around at the piano in their room. He always manages to keep Jessica smiling.

It is then time for Jessica’s performance, where she gives a humorous and sincere dedication to Nick and sings “The Sweetest Sin.” Once the performance is behind them, it is time for Nick and Jessica to kick back Atlantic City-style. Over breakfast the next morning, they discuss the Oktoberfest celebration taking place within the hotel, and Jessica seems very confused by the entire concept of the German festivities.

After Jessica gets ready, she and Nick head downstairs to do some gambling in the casino. “Everybody’s so old here,” Jessica says in amazement. As they continue to gamble, Jessica gets worn out of energy and money while Nick keeps playing to win. Finally, Nick gives in to Jessica’s complaints and they decide to head over to the Oktoberfest celebration.

Jessica continues to be astonished by the number of old people, and she can’t comprehend what Oktoberfest is all about. She is appalled by the costumes people are wearing and cannot bring herself to drink dark beer.

In his typical hospitable way, Nick strikes up a conversation with three old women who are sharing the table with him and Jessica, and even goes so far as to help an old man who was putting his Sears card into an ATM.

The couple leaves Atlantic City and heads to New York City to have a romantic anniversary dinner. They are welcomed at their hotel by the general manager who pronounces Nick’s last name incorrectly, and Jessica keeps teasing her husband about the mispronunciation.

When the two get to their room, Nick has ordered it to be decorated with rose petals and stocked with champagne. However, Nick’s tokens of love do not stop there--he takes Jessica on a horse and buggy ride through the city until they arrive at Tavern on the Green for a romantic dinner. Nick’s final surprise is dessert--a replica of their wedding cake. But the romance quickly turns to comedy when Jessica chides a guilty Nick, “You’re looking at my boobs.” Nick digs the hole even deeper when he cannot remember the name of their first dance song.

After dinner the two head back to the hotel, where Nick proceeds to playfully make-out with Jessica in the elevator. As their night comes to a close, so does the first episode of the new season of Newlyweds.

Episode 2:
Jessica has to leave her hubby once again to help promote her new album. This time she'll be hitting up a New York radio station. What will Nick do while she's gone? Picking his ass, he says, is tops on his agenda.

In New York, the radio crew asks Jessica about married life and if she feels like she's getting old. Her response is another golden moment only she could give us. "I don't mind getting older because I still feel young 'cause Nick's old." We guess "old" for Jessica is a few days shy of 30. After the interview, Jessica has a music meeting with some executives and they decide to put her single into rotation at the station--a big score for her.

Next stop for Jessica is Dallas. She will head home to perform for her old high school. She remembers that as a student, she wasn't allowed to sing because all the mothers said her voice made their "daughters look bad." But Jessica's negative memories soon faded when she took the stage. She could hardly hold back the tears as she looked at the hundreds of cheering teenagers.

Back at the homestead, Nick and his brother Drew head out for a lunch interview with Star magazine. Nick is not in the mood for the interview but goes anyway; at least he'll get free lunch out of the deal, right? Wrong. Not only does the reporter ask Nick private questions about his and Jessica's sex life but then he sticks Nick with the bill.

To make Nick feel better after the interview, Jessica arranges a huge birthday party and flies all of Nick's friends into town to help them celebrate. At the party spot, Nick is greeted with plenty of classy surprises, including a beer bottle shaped cake, and Jessica jumping out of a confection. Jessica Simpson in lingerie, shaking her booty and singing Happy Birthday…Nick is a lucky man. But he gets even luckier when Jessica gives him his real birthday gift. It's a watch, loaded with enough ice to make Jay-Z jealous. It's glamorous, it's flashy, and it's…fifty-five thousand dollars. Cheapskate Nick, of course, is appalled at the price tag, but warmed by the sentiment.

Episode 3:
It all begins with Jessica on a seemingly glamorous photo shoot, but after the shoot she tells Nick she can't wait to 'wash off everybody's foot jam' from her day. Nick is taken aback by his wife’s choice of words, but in his usual forgiving style, he drops the subject.

Although the newlywed's house is being plagued by massive amounts of crows, Jessica still makes it out of the house to go on a shopping spree with her mother. While Jessica and her mother bond over tube tops and 'favorite panties,' Nick stays back at the house to wait for his toys.

Nick has ordered two arcade games and rented a forklift to hoist them up to the second floor of the house, yet he has no idea how to maneuver the machine.

While Nick is giving himself a crash course in how to work a forklift, Jessica keeps spending cash and holding her breath at the registers for totals. Jessica's mother is a very supportive shopping partner as her word of the day whenever Jessica touches another item is 'great!'

As the shopping extravaganza winds down, the boys back at the house rejoice as the games are put in place.

Jessica returns home after dark, and asks Nick what the 'big orange thing' is in their driveway. He explains to her that he got his two new arcade games today--as excited as a five-year-old boy. Jessica shares her purchase of the day as well, in the same excited manner. When she tells Nick that the Egyptian sheets she bought are $1,400, he gets angry, shakes his head, and leaves the room. To top it all off, Jessica almost ruins the sheets when she does not remember how to work the washing machine.

The couple explores the game room upon Nick's request, and Jessica is forced to play, and lose miserably, at 'Carnival King,' Nick's new prized possession. With only 9 percent accuracy at shooting the objects on the screen, Jessica is definitely not cut out to be a video game junkie like her husband.

The night winds down as the couple orders pizza and tries to choose from a plethora of DVDs. Jessica has never seen Nick's pick Scarface, and she's not too sure about it judging by the name. 'Is his face scarred?' she asks. The next day, Nick and Drew are back at it again, picking up dead birds and mice that are scattered all around Nick and Jessica's house. The men neatly dispose of the birds in bags. Once again, Jessica leaves to shop...and further deplete their bank account.

Episode 4:
Jessica and Nick are taking part in a skit for VH1 and Jessica is a bit nervous because she has twice as many lines as Nick and can’t pronounce most of them. Some of the words are French which would explain the difficulty, but the other words are in English...and she still has trouble. When Jessica gets to the shoot she begins to read over the script with her mother. She muddles through ‘Au Revior,’ the French word for goodbye, and then moves to her native language. Words like 'minions,' 'lair,' 'dissemination,' and 'subsequent' give her a lot of trouble. But she is a pop star and has more important things to think about then how to say dissemination! The shoot goes well despite the language barrier and the couple head off to another shoot.

Nick is off to meet Jessica at the United Way shoot. As Jessica gets ready for the shoot she discusses the specifics of Elephantiasis with her make-up artist. Very lady-like. This shoot goes smoothly and the couple finally head home together to relax.

The relaxing doesn’t go on for long. Soon Nick is packing his bags to head out to Detroit to be in a Thanksgiving Day parade. Unfortunately, he will miss part of Thanksgiving, but, hey, it's all part of the pop star life. When Nick gets to Detroit it is cold and rainy but he puts on a smile, does his interviews and gets on the float. Soon he is gliding down the streets of Detroit. The weather just gets worse and worse but Nick won’t let it bring him down, he keeps smiling and waving to all his fans.

Soon Nick is on his way to Texas to meet up with Jess and her family. While he's in the limo, Nick and his friend turn on the game. Nick and Jessica did a halftime show and he's been looking forward to seeing it. Unfortunately, when the spot airs Nick is nowhere to be found. They cut him out completely and only air Jessica. They didn’t even mention his name. Jessica tells him not to let it ruin his Thanksgiving, but he is really upset.

Once in Texas, the couple spend some time at Jessica’s house with her family. Jessica even helps make some fudge which Nick is very impressed by. Soon the whole family heads out to a fancy restaurant for their Thanksgiving dinner. At dinner, Nick excuses himself to use the bathroom. On the way to the bathroom, he is stopped by fans left and right. People ask him for autographs and pictures and some guys even put Nick on the phone with his girlfriend-- while he's still in the bathroom. To most this might be intrusive, but it was just what Nick needed to lift his spirits. He returns to the table laughing about the whole adventure.

Episode 5:
Jessica and Nick are planning to record a few duet cover songs. As Jessica reviews different tunes from the ‘80s and ‘90s, she realizes that she recognizes many of the songs, but not the artists. Jessica doesn’t know The Commodores or Carole King, and admits to mixing up Billy Joel and Billy Idol. She finally decides on “Take My Breath Away.”

Nick isn’t really interested in choosing a duet song--he meets up with Drew to have lunch. When Drew walks up to Nick, they both have a good laugh because they are almost identically dressed. When they get into the restaurant, Nick takes off his thermal shirt so they look a little different.

The next couple weeks will have Nick and Jessica traveling a lot to promote their records--including 18 different shows, autograph signings and radio interviews.

Jessica starts off with a radio promotion. She isn’t feeling well and complains the entire way there but once she is on stage, she lights up and puts on a great show for her fans. Next, the couple is off to Dallas for a performance. When Jessica and Nick make it to the stage, Jessica complains that her shoes are hurting her feet. Nick snaps into action and throws Jessica over his shoulder and runs out onto stage. The crowd loves it. Soon they are off to Providence, Rhode Island and then to Denver, Coloradp.

Their trip isn’t only filled with performing though. Jessica is working on a celebrity show about great gifts for the holiday season. Nick is spending his time at a children’s hospital taking pictures and hanging with the kids for the afternoon. One of the young girls tells him that when he and Jessica have their own bambinos, he knows who to call for a babysitter.

Finally, Jessica and Nick wrap up their tour and go back home to L.A. But their work is not done. They schedule studio time to record their duet cover of “Take My Breath Away.” They choose this song because it has special meaning to Jessica. “I always said the one guy that actually does take my breath away I’m gonna spend the rest of my life with him, and the first time Nick hugged me I was completely short of breath.” So the couple records their duet and heads home to spend some time relaxing together.
